The Challenge
We started working with Blackpool Transport Services (BTS) back in 2013. We work with their internal marketing and customer service teams to support marketing led initiatives on an annual basis.

The scope of work we deliver for BTS has significantly expanded over the past 5 years.

The objective for Buzz is to support and often lead the internal teams at BTS. Our industry knowledge and our work with other clients’ means we ensure BTS stay at the forefront of technology in this ever-changing sector.

Results & Implementation
The Buzz remit at BTS is varied.

  • The writing of the annual marketing plan, budget and tactical plans
  • Individual campaign delivery, support and measurement
  • Livery design and implementation
  • PR support through writing and issuing releases
  • Designing a range of customer facing materials
  • Supporting internal customer experience campaigns to staff

Buzz Marketing designed the now iconic BTS Palladium livery and branding. This livery is synonymous with BTS and it continues to be implemented on all new vehicles.

2017 has continued to be a busy year for BTS. Buzz supported with the launch of the new mobile App and journey planner.

The new App gives customers the opportunity to pre-purchase a range of bus saver tickets before they even reach the bus stop, with their mobile phone effectively becoming their bus ticket.

In addition to this the App acts as a journey planner offering customers to best and quickest service to get them to and from their planned destination.

Going hand in hand with the new App, Buzz assisted in the design and relaunch of a new website www.blackpooltransport.com earlier in 2017.

 

A range of seasonal campaigns has been designed, along with route marketing offers and a monthly E-newsletter.

The Results
Five years down the line, we’ve lost count of the number of plans we’ve written, the pieces of creative we designed, the press releases we’ve written… and much more.

Our relationship with BTS continues to grow as does their business.

Karen Cooper, Customer Experience Manager said; “We employ Buzz on a retainer basis. Buzz work for us on an agreed number of days per month. The support we receive from Buzz varies on a monthly basis and depends on what campaigns and initiatives we are delivering at the time.

Initial support begins with the writing and implementation of our annual marketing plan and budget. Once the plan has been approved at Director level, our internal marketing team work with Buzz to ensure it’s delivered across the year. Like any other plan, it’s a fluid, working document and new campaigns are often added as the year progresses!

The initiatives Buzz has supported the team on over the years are numerous and there are too many to mention individually. Buzz is more than willing to assist with any project large or small.

We meet on a monthly basis and have weekly calls. The team at Buzz are friendly and approachable and their support is always delivered in a highly professional manner. It’s been a pleasure working with them over the years. We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship with them in the future.
